The telescope is an optical instrument that collects the electromagnetic radiation. The first known practical telescopes were invented in the Netherlands at the beginning of the 17th century, by using glass lenses. They found use in both terrestrial applications and astronomy.
Aperture determines how much detail you can see in objects. A large telescope will reveal more detail on the Moon and planets. Aperture also determines how much light it collects and a large instruction will provide brighter views and show fainter objects. Keep in mind, however, the steadiness of the air often limits the detail you can see, and you need dark skies to see really faint galaxies and nebulae. 1. The telescope is not only used for magnifying the object far from the earth but also use to see the light which is invisible by human naked eyes light like microwaves, radio wave, ultraviolet rays.
2. Telescope can record observations with cameras – You can see things with your eye and draw them, but telescopes can share observations with the world! This is especially important for convincing skeptics what you saw was real.
3. Telescopes perform basically three main functions: light gathering, resolving, and magnifying.

7. Refractor, Reflector and catadioptric are the basic telescope designs. A refractor telescope has a big lens at the front to collect and concentrate light. A reflector telescope uses a mirror to do this. Most small telescopes are certainly refractor telescopes. Almost all large telescopes are reflectors. In Addition, Catadioptric telescopes are a combination of mirrors and lenses and are the most modern design.
9. To see and allow us to resolve the fine details we can use telescopes. – Because of the wave nature of light and the nerves in our eyes, we can only see details about the same angular size as Jupiter’s width.

a. Those who are exploring the data coming out from Earth.
b. Those who are detecting electromagnetic signals from within our solar system
c. Those who are looking outside of our solar system.
